Owner and operator, Kris Mason is a Licensed Nurse, with 30 years of experience working with seniors in independent, assisted living and memory care communities. Her mother will tell you that her daughter knew at the age of 5 years old that she wanted to work with seniors. Kris and her husband purchased a large home on a 5 acre farm and asked her parents to join them on the “Family Farm”.
As a professional in the corporate world of long-term care, I wanted to develop a different and better option for seniors and their working spouses and children. I wanted to provide them an option that allowed them to have their loved ones stay at home longer while giving them an engaging social environment, so that seniors would not need to be left at home, isolated, and unattended during 8-10 hour work days. The Maple Falls community is near and dear to my heart as this is where my family has lived for the last 20 years. Kris’ husband, Ed, who is also a professional in long term care, my parents, Richard and Kathleen, and I work together to create a loving, supportive, safe and FUN space for seniors. And that is how Echo Valley Adult Daycare and Respite came to be. “Our family caring for your family”.
